General Business News
BTC and ETH both stood still this week, BTC closing near $63,950 (+0.3%) and ETH around $1,870 (+0.6%) after a couple of runs at $65k and $1,900 that came to nothing. XRP was the weak spot among the larger names at -6%, while SOL managed +2.9%. Strategy kept selling, offloading another 1,690 BTC for $109M to fund buybacks of its STRC preferred stock, its second sale in as many weeks and its fourth of the year. On Robinhood's layer-2 chain, the StonkBrokers NFT collection pushed its floor to 13.41 ETH as buyers chased the tokenized-stock rewards wired into each piece. Pump.fun had a week of its own on Solana, notching a record for daily active users after launching a social trading feature, with the PUMP token up +26%.
Gross weekly volume on SideShift reached $7.83M, a +16.1% gain that marked a second straight week of growth and resulted in a healthy average of $1.12M per day. User shifting rose a steady +7% to $5.83M, with liquidity rebalancing growing faster, up +54.2% to $2.0M, taking liquidity shifting to account for roughly a quarter of the total from a fifth. The biggest shifts carried on from last week's run, with shifts valued >$50k climbing again to account for $1.56M and making up just under 20% of the week’s total. Some of that strength came from our top affiliate, which set its best performance of the year for the second week running. BTC/USDT (TRC20) topped the pairs at $343k, with ETH/USDT (ERC-20) at $276k and a USDT (Liquid)/USDT (TRC20) stablecoin route just behind at $275k.

The median shift rose to $71.30 from $59.20, a +20.4% climb that ran ahead of the average's move to $1,021 (+10.9%). Both ends of the platform grew, with everyday users shifting larger sums while whales returned from the retreat that hollowed out the quiet week in late July. Gross count finished at 7,676 (+4.7%), or 1,097 a day, and every value bracket above $1k gained, most sharply at the top where the >$20k and >$50k counts each rose more than +20%. Shifts under $100 were the only group to shrink, falling -2.8% to 4,296, with the rising median suggesting those users simply shifted larger amounts.

USDT on Tron led all coins at $2.57M (+67.8%), its fourth-busiest week of 2026. User buying drove it, with settlements nearly doubling to $1.22M as deposits cooled, and that demand came from across the platform rather than any single source, three quarters of it arriving through the frontend directly. The other two stablecoins in the top five worked the opposite way, USDT (ERC-20) at $1.59M (+20.1%) and USDT (Liquid) at $1.31M (+16.1%), both weighted toward deposits and supplying capital that moved elsewhere. USDC (ERC-20) was the odd one out among stables, dropping to $838k (-21.4%) and falling from the leading group.
ETH was the week's biggest mover, doubling to $2.02M (+101.2%) and closing to within $32k of BTC. It was a third straight week of growth and ETH's first above $2M since early February, ranking third among all its weeks this year. BTC took second at $2.05M (-2.1%), with users holding the selling posture they've kept since June. Between them the top five carried close to 61% of volume, a fairly common proportion seen throughout the year. SOL's four-week climb ended at $876k (-25.2%), dropping it from the leading five, while XRP built on the level it tripled to a week earlier, reaching $363k (+6%) for its best week of 2026. USDT (BSC) also deserves a mention, as its $703k (+71.6%) finish represents its strongest since March.

The Ethereum network climbed to $4.68M (+31.4%), outpacing all alternate networks and reclaiming ground it had ceded through July. This ranks eighth among weekly outputs so far this year, still some way below the $7.43M it managed in early June and the $11.34M peak it set back in February. Alt networks reached $6.07M together (+12.4%), with the gain concentrated in two names. The Tron network led at $2.81M (+61.4%), its best showing in seven weeks. BSC followed at $908k (+60.1%), a level it hasn't reached since mid-March. Everything else pulled back. Solana came off last week's peak to $1.52M (-21.5%), still its second-best of the past ninety day stretch, while Arbitrum halved to $224k and Base sank to $94k. Polygon barely moved at $378k (+6.9%). Robinhood's chain held flat at $115k, though its 307 shifts set a new high for the network.

Affiliate News
Combined affiliate volume reached $2.56M (+8.0%), and almost half of that came from a single partner. The leader posted $1.21M (+7.5%) for a second straight yearly best, the second-largest affiliate week anyone has recorded in 2026, with 695 shifts amounting to about a quarter of the group's count. The group still lost ground against the platform even while growing, its share of volume falling to 32.7% from 35.2% as direct site shifting expanded faster. Second place put on +5.6% to $492k, holding the recovery it started in last month and maintaining some solid momentum with a count of 377 (+7.1%). Third place turned over. The partner that owned that position through summer dropped away, and its replacement gained +26.4% to $98k on 228 shifts (+23.9%), recovering from a two-week dip.

That’s all for now - thanks for reading and happy shifting.
