General Business News
Crypto spent the week caught between two moods, one side flashing warning signs and the other quietly calling the bottom. BTC chopped in a familiar range through it all, lifted when the Fed held rates into month-end, then sliding back toward $63,900 as a hardware-wallet scare spread and buyers grew cautious. ETH walked the same line but softer, slipping around -2.3%. ADA was the week's outlier, up +22% as whales added more than 240 million tokens in five days, while PUMP climbed close to +10%. Strategy grabbed its share of headlines too, selling another 1,638 BTC to cover payouts on its preferred shares, its third such sale of the year and another dent in its long-held never-sell reputation. As for the scare hanging over the market, it turned out to be a five-year-old firmware flaw in Coldcard wallets that let attackers reportedly drain over $100m in BTC from thousands of devices without ever having to touch one.

Gross weekly volume landed at $6.74M, up +50.9% on the week and averaged $963k a day, an encouraging rebound after a few quieter weeks. Almost all of the gain came from larger shifts, with the $10k-plus band more than doubling to $3.74M, the $20k-plus band climbing to $2.69M, and the $50k-plus band swelling nearly sixfold to $956k after months in the low hundreds of thousands. The week was powered by two things at once, a genuine pickup in larger shifts across the site and a return to form from a few of our very top affiliates after a lull. User volume did the bulk of the work at $5.44M (+44.6%), and with more shifting through the platform, liquidity shifting followed it up to $1.30M (+85.1%), nudging its share to account for about a fifth of the total. BTC/USDC (ERC-20) paced the pairs at $322k, with USDT (TRC20)/L-USDT ($252k) and SOL/USDT (ERC-20) ($221k) close behind, and BTC turning up on both sides of the board as USDT (ERC-20)/BTC filled out the leading four.

Gross shift count reached 7,328, a far more measured +11.8% that worked out to 1,047 a day. That modest rise alongside a +50% volume jump points to one thing, a week carried by size, with the average shift swelling to roughly $920 from about $680. The count still grew at the top, with 141 shifts clearing $10k, 70 above $20k, and 13 past $50k after a month where that last figure barely cleared a handful. Everyday activity held its ground too, with sub-$100 shifts back above 4,400.

Among the top five by volume, BTC surged back to the front at $2.09M (+120.6%), more than doubling its total to reclaim the first spot after a lagging July. Users however remained net sellers, with deposits totaling $923k against $685k settled, the same stance that's held through most of the summer. Both sides jumped this week though, with settlements more than doubling off their July lows to mark the strongest week of BTC buying since late June. SOL extended a climb now four weeks running, reaching $1.17M (+38.3%) as deposits leapt +134.8% to land almost level with settlements. ETH crossed back over the million mark at $1.00M (+44.1%), its first week there since early June. Seven coins cleared $1M in total after none managed it the week prior, leaving the volume dispersion rather widespread.
Stablecoins made up most of that depth. USDT on Tron ($1.54M) and Ethereum ($1.32M) held second and third, both settling well above what users deposited, a sign people were moving into stables while prices chopped. USDT on Liquid rounded out the top five at $1.13M, with its settlements more than doubling on the week. USDC on Ethereum sat just outside at $1.06M (+161%), back over the line after a month away. The surprise came from XRP, whose volume more than tripled to $343k (+232%), its strongest showing on SideShift so far this year, and driven by a rush of XRP/USDT (SOL) shifts.

Regarding alternate networks to Ethereum, Solana moved clear of Tron at the head of the pack. The Solana network cumulatively climbed to $1.94M (+48.9%), its strongest in months and enough to overtake Tron at $1.74M (+37.0%), a reversal of the order that saw Tron run more than triple Solana back in early June. The four-week Solana climb running through the coin data has pulled its network up with it. BSC held third at $567k, the only major network in the red at -14.2%. Arbitrum was the sharpest gainer at $417k (+81.1%), with Base at $207k (+60.0%) and Polygon steadier at $354k (+11.9%). The Robinhood network is also carrying on rather steadily, building from nothing three weeks ago to its current sum of $116k. The Ethereum network remained the yardstick for the group and grew fastest of the lot at $3.54M (+69.1%), though the alt field held comfortably ahead at $5.39M (+33%).

Affiliate News
The top affiliates also moved hard this week, combining for a gross $2.37M (+82.0%). The same three integrations comprised the podium as last week, but in a new order. The leader vaulted from the back of that group to first at $1.12M (+583.5%), its best week of 2026, its count nearly doubling to 657, a sign the rise came from broad activity and not a few big tickets. Last week's leader now sits second at $466k (+77.9%) on a near-flat count of 352 against 349, so its gain came from bigger shifts. The third slipped a place to $142k on a -33.4% dip. Further down, one integration leapt from around $3k to $54k with its count almost quadrupling, the sharpest move beyond the leaders. Together the top affiliates made up 35.1% of total volume, up from 29.2% a week earlier.
That’s all for now - thanks for reading and happy shifting.
